Description: The town of St. George was created in 1803 as part of Knox County, Maine. It lies right on the Atlantic coast. This database contains autobiographical sketches of prominent citizens of the town. There are also lists of inhabitants, which are grouped by post office districts and which include the following post offices: Tenants Harbor, Port Clyde, Martinsville, Turkey, St. George, Clark Island, and Spruce Head. These lists were compiled in 1892. Residents ages and married womens maiden names are included.
